Call of Duty – Black Ops 4 – Blackout will be limited to 120 fps on PC

Treyarch and Beenox have revealed new information about the PC version of Call of Duty – Black Ops 4. According to the developers, the battle royale mode will come with a frame rate limited to 120 fps at the time of launch, while Zombies modes and Multiplayer will support framerates without limit.

Call of Duty – Black Ops 4 – Blackout will not have unlimited fps

Now, although this may disappoint some fans, Treyarch has plans for Blackout to get an unlimited framerate like the other game modes, but it will not be at the launch of the game. As the developers said, they will ensure at the time of the game release that it has a high stability for each player and will rise to 144 fps as soon as the servers are stable. Assuming all goes well, Treyarch will enable framerates without limitations in the first days of the game’s release.

We do not know exactly what is the relationship between layering the framerate of the game with the stability of the servers, but that’s the point. This should not affect those PC players who regularly play at 60 fps.

Things look good for the PC version of Call of Duty Black Ops 4. Treyarch has also made several updates to the game, all based on the comments of the players, so let’s hope that those horrible low-resolution textures that were seen in the beta have been replaced in the final game.

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 goes on sale on October 12 with Blackout, Zombies and Multiplayer modes. The game will not have campaign this time.
