Design
Made from plastic, but you won’t have a clue till you get so close or hold it. It reflects light beautifully unlike other smartphones that was made with plastic. Sports dual antenna lines which brings out the beauty, while the rear camera sits pretty at the top middle.
Beside the rear camera is a dual-LED flash, while a fingerprint scanner sits underneath. The China Mobile logo is at the bottom corner, while the loudspeaker is underneath. Turning over to the side now, the volume keys and power button are present as it measures 8.7 mm slim. The A3S weighs just 150g and available in Gold, Black and Silver colors.
Display
If you are into bezel-less smartphones then you need to look elsewhere. Three navigation buttons are visible at the bottom bezel, while the top bezel houses the usual features. Like the selfie camera, speaker grille and ambient light sensor.
The 5.2-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is very standard, boasting of 1280 x 720 pixels in resolution. Details on the screen should be clear to some extent, with 282 pixel per inch density. The screen has LED notifications, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 72% NTSC and stretches up to 74.98% screen to body ratio.
Hardware and Software
The phone houses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chip alongside a 64-bit CPU architecture and 4-cores of processor. The Quad-core processor on the China Mobile A3S clocks at 1.4 GHz with a 28nm process technology. Administrating graphics, is the Qualcomm Adreno 308 graphics processor with a speed of 500MHz.
The 2GB RAM space has a memory speed of 667 MHz for smooth multitasking. While the storage space pegs at 16GB, for storing files and apps. You can always upgrade further up to 128GB using a memory card. China Mobile A3S runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out of the box.
Camera
The 8MP camera has f/2.2 aperture and captures 3K resolution images. The camera has 5P Lens and comes with a dual-LED flash as well. Other features are included, helping the camera to capture photographs with 3264 x 2448 pixels in dimension. For selfies, the 5MP selfie shooter has f/2.4 aperture, OmniVision OV5670 PureCel sensor and 5P Lens as well.
Battery
Powering the China Mobile A3S is a 2800mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with fast charging technology. Even with the fast charging feature, it might take more than 2 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.
