COVID-19- Google will give $800 million to help companies!

The only way to fight this pandemic is to stay home to prevent the spread of the virus and the collapse of health systems. That said, many companies around the world are doing their best to help countries in this struggle. Google, the search engine giant, has announced that it will offer $ 800 million to support small and medium-sized businesses, health organizations and governments and healthcare professionals who are suffering greatly from this pandemic.

This amount will be distributed in a few different ways; $ 250 million will be converted into advertising grants to help the World Health Organization (WHO) and more than 100 government agencies worldwide to help provide critical information on how to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and others to help communities locations.

$ 340 million in Google Ads credits for small and medium business accounts active last year. The credits will be usable until the end of this year.

200 million investment fund to support NGOs and financial institutions worldwide. Meanwhile, Google is working with the Opportunity Finance Network in the U.S. to help fill funding gaps for underserved people and communities.

$ 20 million in Google Cloud credits for academic institutions and researchers who are finding ways to combat COVID-19.

However, there will be direct financial support and knowledge to help increase the production capacity of personal protective equipment. In this regard, this company is working alongside Magic Glove & Safety to increase the production of 2 to 3 million masks in the coming weeks. These masks will be provided to the CDC Foundation. In addition, employees of Alphabet Google, Verily and X will contribute engineering and medical expertise to assist in the production of fans.

Thus, Google hopes that this effort will help a lot in the fight against the pandemic.
