Doov A19 has been launched by the Chinese company, as a selfie focused smartphone with “midrange” specs, according to the company.
The OEM has released a couple of smartphones this week, but the A19 comes with more advanced features. Boasting of 3GB RAM, 32GB Storage and crystal clear 13MP selfie camera. Without further ado, meet the Doov A19.

Design
The Doov A19 has a Metal overall unibody that’s quite attractive and sleek. Definitely one of the most good looking Doov smartphone thus far, sporting a rear fingerprint scanner unlike the rest.
While the rear camera and LED flash are vertical on top of the fingerprint scanner. The Doov logo is at the bottom corner, measuring 9mm in thickness. The beauty weighs 166g and available in Champagne and Rose-Gold colors.
Display
Dishes out a bezel-less display, even though the screen to body ratio isn’t really massive. Overall, it has a 18:9 aspect ratio for nice visuals in landscape mode. The bottom bezel is vacant which means the screen could have been expanded if they wanted to.
The top bezel however houses the selfie camera, speaker grille and sensors. The 5.7-inch FHD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is stunning with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. Details on the screen should be clear enough with 282 pixel per inch density. The screen stretches up to 74.75% screen to body ratio with a 2.5D curved glass screen.

Hardware and Software
Houses the MediaTek MT6737 chip with Quad-core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The 4-cores of processor runs at a speed of 1.5GHz with 28nm process technology for a smooth ride. Administrating graphics is the ARM Mali-T720 MP2 graphics processor with just a single core and clocks at 600 MHz.
3GB RAM space is available for heavy multitasking with a memory speed of 640MHz. For storing files and apps, the 32GB storage space is more than enough, but if it isn’t you can always upgrade up to 128GB with a memory card. The Doov A19 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Yun OS 5.1.1 skin.
Camera
The 2MP camera at the rear is pretty disappointing capturing just 1K resolution images. Even though it comes with features like digital zoom, Exposure compensation, Face detection, HDR, ISO settings, Manual, focus, Optical Stabilization (OIS), Optical zoom, Panorama, Scene mode and others, it could only capture photographs with 1600 x 1200 pixels in dimension. The 13MP selfie camera is much better, capturing cute selfies.

Battery
Powering the Doov A19 is a 2800mAh Non-removable Li-Po battery with no fast charging technology. Even without the fast charging feature, it shouldn’t take up to 2 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.
