Gionee M6 Lite vs Tecno Camon C9 – Device Comparison

The Gionee M6 Lite smartphone is specially designed with a metallic back and some narrow bezels on the sides. The Gionee M6 Lite comes with an advanced encryption application, a new security feature that lets you protect your phone. It is a downgraded version of the M6 and it is also a successor to M6 Plus that was launched earlier alongside the M6.

The Tecno Camon C9 on the other hand basically is one smartphone that was made to satisfy the need of those who love photography. The Tecno Company continued to improve on the Camon C8 smartphone which spearheaded the photography revolution. The Tecno Camon C9 offers high-end features which include; improved camera features, faster processors and an iris scanner.

In terms of display, both The Gionee M6 Lite and Camon C9 come in a metallic back design, they sport a 5.5 Inch Full HD IPS, and a resolution of 1080 x 1920 (401 PPI) pixels to give a good picture quality. Although, the Camon C9 sports a slimmer 3.5mm Aluminium body design.

Performance & Storage

The Gionee M6 Lite is powered by a more powerful Octa-core MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10, with Mali-T860MP2 GPU and a speed of 1.8GHz frequency processor. The Tecno Camon C9 although powered by octa-core Mediatek MT6753 chipset clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali-T720 GPU cannot match the Gionee M6 Lite’s performance.

In terms of storage, the Gionee M6 Lite packs a larger 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM which is expandable to 256GB through a slot for the micro SD. The Tecno Camon C9 on the other hand, sports a lesser 2GB of RAM and a 16GB built-in storage, which you can be extended using up to 128GB microSD slot.

The Gionee M6 Lite comes with 13MP f/2.0 aperture phase detection autofocus, dual-LED flash rear camera and 8MP front camera, an all-new improved photography feature, while Tecno Camon C9 offers the same 13MP rear camera with a 6-lens system, but a lesser 5MP front camera with LED flash.

Battery & Charging

The Gionee M6 Lite packs a more powerful non-removable Li-polymer 5000mAh battery to give you a long-lasting battery with a fast-charging feature while the Camon C9 packs a 3000mAh battery which is able to give 2 hours of talk time on a 5-minute charge.

Connectivity

Both smartphones support 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity. Both do not have the NFC features, so they tie in terms of connectivity. However, the Camon C9 has Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP feature.

The Gionee M6 Lite runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and has a 0.23 second Fingerprint Sensor speed while the Camon C9 also runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and comes with a customized HIOS V1.0 operating system, an edge over the Gionee M6 Lite.

In most of the comparisons made above under different features, the Gionee M6 Lite seems to outshine the Camon C9. It further justifies why it is more expensive than the Camon C9, I wouldn’t mind the extra cost at all.
