The South Africa tech giant Hisense has just launched a budget smartphone with a moniker Hisense U40. The phone has a pocket-friendly body design and also an average specification. Below is everything we know about the Hisense U40 device and the price.
Design And Display
The Hisense U40 looks like the Xiaomi Redmi 8A on the panel. The whole body is built with a combination of plastics and glass. The panel is also housing the cameras, an LED Flash, and a logo. It has body dimensions of 154.9× 75 × 9.7 mm and weighs 196 grams.
The front has some visible bezels both on the top and bottom of the screen. The bezel offers a screen size of 5.7 inches under IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. It has a screen resolution of 480 x 960 pixels, 18:9 ratio, and 242 PPI density. The display is a 74.7% screen-to-body ratio and there is a protective glass.

Users will also enjoy good photos on the Hisense U40. The primary camera is 5 MP paired with an LED flash for bright photos. There are also some internal features that will enhance the image. Upfront is another snapper of 5 MP for selfies and video calling. It has support for Face and can shoot 480p@30fps videos while the main camera can record up to 1080p@30fps.
The budget phone Hisense U40 packs a Spreadtrum UniSoC SC9832E chipset and a quad-core processor clocking at a speed of 4×1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU. It has ARM Mali T820 MP2 for graphics and runs on the Android 10 operating system based on Go Edition.

The inbuilt storage on the phone is 16GB and 1GB RAM expandable up to 64GB using a micro SDcard. The phone lacks a fingerprint scanner but has Face ID and other sensors such as Accelerometer, and proximity.

There is a removable battery of 2450 mAh which is said to last up to 15 hours of talk time on 3G. The phone also has dual SIMs and 3G network for browsing. This is to say there is no 4G.
