The HomTom H10 has been introduced by the company as its first smartphone with a notched screen. This is coming just months after the company released the HT70 which is quite a trend on shopping stores.
Apart from coming with a notch, the H10 sports the trendy iPhone X-like dual shooters in a vertical format. It has support for Face ID, side fingerprint scanner, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage space. Lets find out more.
Design
The H10 has an aluminium alloy overall unibody with a Metal frame which compliments this beauty. The curved edges makes the device look more stunning and beautiful. This elegant looking smartphone reflects light beautifully.
There’s no rear fingerprint scanner here at all. Only the vertically placed dual cameras is seen at the top left corner, with the dual-LED flash sitting in-between. It was launched in Black, Gold and Blue colors.
Display
Turning over to the front, you will be greeted by the notch on top which is quite thick. The notch houses the speaker grille, selfie camera and sensor. The bottom bezel is still pretty much thick as well, obstructing a bigger and taller view.
It has a tall 5.85-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen which dishes out a 19:9 aspect ratio. The screen boasts of 1512 x 720 pixels in resolution and 286 pixel per inch density delivering immersive visuals.
Hardware and Software
It’s powered by the MediaTek MT6750T chip which was manufactured on an older 28nm process node. The 8-cores of processor comes with Cortex-A53 architecture clocking at 1.5GHz max. While the ARM Mali-T860 MP2 graphics card clocks at 650MHz.
For multitasking, you get 4GB of RAM which should be more than enough. The RAM reaches a memory speed of 833MHz as well. The storage space is pegged at 64GB and you can expand up to 256GB using a memory card. The H10 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
Camera
The dual 16MP + 2MP ISOCELL sensors at rear takes photographs with bokeh effect and portrait mode. The cameras comes with a dual-LED flash in-between and other features like ISO settings and white balance settings. While the 8MP selfie camera is a OmniVision CMOS sensor with support for Face ID.
Battery
Powering the HomTom H10 is a 3500mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 1.8 hours.
