Honor’s gaming laptops may be powered by AMD chipsets

A few weeks ago, George Zhao, the president of Honor, revealed that the company will be launching its line of gaming laptops soon. A few days ago, reports surfaced online confirming this story. The report also revealed that Huawei will be tagging along. And today, new teasers have surfaced on Weibo confirming the processor these laptops will run on.

A few hours ago, the official account of AMD China shared an image that had a building with “HI AMD.” About an hour later, the official Weibo account of Honor posted a picture that had another building with “HI Honor.”

What we take from this is that these buildings are nothing but offices of both companies greeting each other. This indicates that a collaboration between both companies is imminent or already in motion.

If both companies are working together, it is most likely on one thing – Honor’s upcoming gaming laptops. Recent reports have revealed that Honor might launch the laptops as early as this month.

Given we are already seeing teasers of the laptops, we should be seeing feature leaks of the laptops over the next couple of days. If this happens, then the laptops should be launched before the end of the month or maybe in August.

Honor has ventured into gaming laptops manufacturing just like another Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi.
