So what’s the difference in specs and features between the Huawei Honor View 10 and Huawei Honor 10? Because their name do sound alike and most users might assume they’re the same smartphone.
Huawei Honor 10 VS Huawei Honor View 10 – The Design
The Huawei Honor 10 looks much like the Huawei P20. It’s also the first Honor smartphone to come with a notch on the top screen. While the Huawei Honor 10 features a front and back glass with aluminum frame. The Huawei Honor View 10 features just a front glass, with the back and frame consisting of aluminum. The Honor View 10 is slimmer measuring 7mm in thickness. While the Honor 10 measures 7.7mm. In body weight, the Honor View 10 weighs 172 grams. Which is 19 grams heavier than the Honor 10 that weighs 153 grams.
The dual rear camera and LED flash are positioned at the top-left corner on both phones. They also feature a home button which houses the fingerprint sensor. The Navy Blue, Midnight Black, Beach Gold, Aurora Blue and Charm Red body colors are available in Honor View 10. While you get Mirage Purple, Mirage Blue, Magic night black and Gray gull body colors for Honor 10.

Why can’t the Honor brand give us a smartphone with AMOLED screen? That would really be awesome. Guess we just have to wait for it. The Huawei Honor 10 and Honor View 10 sports the IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. The Honor View 10’s 5.99-inch screen features a display resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels with 403 PPI density. While the Honor 10’s 5.84-inch screen features a display resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels with 432 PPI density.
The screen of Honor 10 is protected by an unspecified version of Corning Gorilla Glass. The Honor View 10 with an 18:9 aspect ratio, is bezel-less at the sides only. While there are bezels at the top which houses the speaker and front camera. And then the bottom bezel which features the home button. The Honor 10 has bezel only at the bottom with a 19:9 aspect ratio. No bezels at the sides and also at the top of the screen.

Since the Honor 10 is rumored to be a lower priced version of the Huawei P20. It should have better camera quality to the Honor View 10. The dual rear camera lens of the Honor 10 has a resolution of 16MP f/1.8 aperture and 24MP. And at its front camera lens, is a 24MP f/2.0 aperture resolution. A 16MP f/1.8 aperture and 20MP resolution can be found on the dual rear camera lens of the Honor View 10. But it’s front camera comes up short. Housing a resolution of a 13MP f/2.0 aperture.

Powering both smartphones is Huawei’s latest chipset; HiSilicon Kirin 970 with Octa-core processor reaching a speed of 2.4GHz. Running on EMUI 8.0 with Android 8.0 Oreo underneath it is the Honor View 10. While the Honor 10 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo, with EMUI 8.1 on top.
The Honor View 10 comes in two variants, 64GB storage with either 4GB or 6GB memory size. And 128GB storage with 6GB memory. While the Huawei Honor 10 also comes in two variants, the 4GB memory with 64GB storage. And the 6GB memory with either 64GB or 128GB storage.
Huawei Honor 10 VS Huawei Honor View 10 – The Battery
The Huawei Honor View 10 comes with better battery life to the Honor 10. A non-removable Li-Po 3750 mAh battery runs on the Honor View 10. While a non-removable Li-Po 3400 mAh battery runs on the Honor 10.
Huawei Honor 10 VS Huawei Honor View 10 – The Price
The Huawei Honor 10 will be sold for around $450 (N157,500). While the Huawei Honor View 10 is currently sold for about $483 (N169,050). The Honor 10 seems like a wise choice though the Honor View 10 has a better battery life.
