Design and Display of Hotwav Symbol X

Body design of the device comes in mainly plastic. Dimensions are 146.3 x 71 x 7.8 mm and it weighs 189 grams which is a tad bulky. The Android smartphone comes in black and white colors. This is not a water resistant device, and it does not have fingerprint sensor, but it has face recognition features.

Display type is IPS LCD capacitive touch screen of 16 million colors. The device comes in 5.7 inches screen size. Furthermore, there is no secondary display for it. Pixel resolution is 1498 x 720, Pixel density is 292 ppi, while screen to body ratio is 79.1 percent, and aspect ratio is 19:9. Display protection feature is 2.5D curved glass.

Camera Features

At the camera department there is dual main rear camera of 13 MP plus 2 MP. This comes with dual LED flash. The secondary front camera made for selfies is 8 MP with facial recognition technology but no flash available. Video performance is up to 720p@30fps of FHD recording.

Android OS v8.1 Oreo is the primary operating system in Hotwav Symbol X. Surely, this will upgrade to the latest Android software. As such, it is supported by MediaTek MT6580P with process technology 28nm. Also, CPU 1.3 GHz Quad-core Cortex A7 and the GPU is Mali 400 MP2. These run on 32-bit architecture.

Storage Capacity and Sensors

There is 2GB of RAM which cannot be expanded. However, the internal storage of 16GB of ROM can be increased up to 64GB with the use of a microSD card. Sensors in the device include accelerometer, proximity, and ambient light.

Network and Connectivity

At the network and connectivity center of Hotwav Symbol X, there is 2G and 3G. This means that supported networks are GSM and HSPA. No 4G internet here at all. There is dual micro + Nano SIM card slot inbuilt in the device to assist networks run properly.

Other connectivity components are as follows- Bluetooth v2.1, Wi-Fi, mobile hotspot, GPS, A-GPS, headphone jack, and micro USB 2.0. There is no infrared, NFC or HDMI in this device.

Battery Life

Powering the device is a Li-Ion 2500 mAh non-removable battery, which has no wireless charging and no fast charging technology. Also, we cannot tell just how effective it is for the daily consumption of energy in the Symbol X.
