Epic Games released an update of Fortnite not too long ago which allowed players to use emotes in the lobby. Emotes are a great way to express yourself to other members of your party and show off your collection.
This addition to the game was a minor one since it had already been requested for by a lot of players. One bad news, however, is that only one emote can be used in the lobby. Specifically, the emote that is set in the first slot of your emotes list.
Any of the emotes or dances can be used. In the guide below, we will show you how to select an emote to use in the lobby and how to use it on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
How to Dance in the Fortnite Lobby
Again, you can use these steps on all Platforms including PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch. Originally, you used to select your character and then select the emote button. However, Epic Games recently changed this.
Go to the locker and equip an emote or dance in the first slot. Now, when you use an emote in the lobby, you will only see the emote you have equipped in the first slot. This may change in future updates of the game but for now, I guess we will have to make do with that.

When you are done, return to the lobby. Emotes can be used whether you are at a party or playing solo. You should see the emote button at the bottom right corner of the screen. Simply hit the button to select the emote.
Your character will use the emote you selected in the lobby. You can do an infinite emote by joining a friends lobby whilst in the middle of an emote. At least this is how it currently works.
