How to Enable the Flashlight Widget on Samsung Galaxy S9

The Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9 Plus comes as a whole package which gives you access to so many features. From accessing the internet, making calls, playing games, sending messages and even using the device as a torch when you need to, these devices contain everything you need in a smartphone. Although the phone’s flashlight is not an ideal replacement for an LED torch, it still has its benefits of almost an equal measure. This can come handy in cases where you are stuck in the dark with no other source of light closeby. All you have to do in such cases is turn on the flashlight of the device.

Unlike previous models of the device which do not come with a widget, the Galaxy S9 comes with its own built-in flashlight widget. You can use this widget to turn the flashlight of your Galaxy S9 ON and OFF with much ease.

On some older device, you would have to download a third-party app to be able to use the flashlight. After installing the apps, then you could use it to turn the flashlight On or OFF. But innovation has made it much easier and convenient now.

How to Enable the Flashlight Widget on Samsung Galaxy S9

Before you proceed with the steps, you need to, first of all, make sure that your Galaxy S9 is turned on.

  1. Next, long press on a space on the home screen of your Galaxy S9 until you see the ‘Wallpapers, Widgets and Home Screen Settings’ on your screen.
  2. Next, tap on the Widgets option.
  3. Scroll through the list of widgets till you see the Torch widgets. Long press and drag the Torch widget to a space on the home screen.

That is all; You can now use the widget to access your torch by simply tapping on it.
