How to fix if Windows turns on without sound

If when you turn on your PC, Windows 10 has no sound or you cannot hear it well, you may have a problem on your computer. Don’t panic- there’s always a solution and it’s easier than you might think. We will provide you with the solution to restore audio when windows starts.

Although with the passage of time and updates, Windows 10 has become a very reliable and stable system, sometimes we find some problems.

As you know, the problem of Windows 10 updates is one of the sections that most concern those of Redmond. But as we say, some errors do not depend on these, so we can find them at any time of use of the pc.

In this guide, we will focus on one of these, that is, in the case in which the audio becomes silent every time you start the computer, despite having a well configured sound.

This is something we can find, whether we turn on the PC at the beginning of the day, or if we restart it, something that can be somewhat strange.

Therefore, if we see that Windows 10 starts without audio, the solution is simple. Therefore, in order to avoid automatic silencing of the system on reboot, it is necessary to disable the quick start function.

Resolve no sound error when Windows 10 starts

In case you don’t know, the quick start allows the system to start in less time when the PC is turned off

Therefore, while selecting the shutdown option, Windows 10 is actually entering a different type of state, so that in the future I will be able to start it much faster.

While on the one hand we save time on rebooting, this incomplete shutdown can lead to some problems such as silent audio on startup.

Once we know all this, to disable the mentioned quick start, we go to the Control Panel and click on Hardware and Sound Options and then we choose energy saving options

Then we click on the left panel, on Specify power button behavior.

In the next screen we click on the option Change the settings currently not available, where we could disable the quick start option, in case it is activated.

In this way, the next time the system is turned off or started, the volume will be at the level set at the time of shutdown.

As we have seen on other occasions in the past, a quick start saves time but ends up causing some problems.

Many users disable it during the installation of Windows 10. The reason for this is that, as we said, having activated it means that the system does not turn off when we want to close it completely.
