How To Turn On Screen Rotation Feature On Samsung Galaxy Note 9

If you would like to turn on screen rotation feature on your Samsung Galaxy Note 9 then you’ve definitely come to the right place. The screen rotation feature on the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 works like every other screen rotation feature on other Android Smartphones. This feature uses sensors inside the device to know when you hold the device differently and effect the change on screen to fit the way you hold it automatically.

Now, When you hold the device in landscape mode and the screen doesn’t change to fit the way you’re holding it. Then it means that the sensors have been turned off and thus can not effect the change to your screen. If you are quite sure you didn’t turn the feature off then someone else you might have given your phone or left your phone with might have done it.

Whichever might be the case, you don’t have to worry as the issue can be resolved very easily. You don’t even need a third-party app or be too tech-savvy to fix the issue. All you have to do is just follow the easy, laid out the steps below.

How To Turn On Screen Rotation Feature On Samsung Galaxy Note 9

  • First, you have to locate the Settings Menu. You can click on the Settings App in the app drawer or slide down the notification bar and click on the settings menu (Gear Icon) at the top right side of the screen.
  • Click on Display & Wallpaper.

  • Look for the screen rotation option and Toggle the slide On if it is off.

That’s it. Your screen rotation feature on Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is turned on. If you would like to To turn it back off at a later time, simply go back to the Settings Menu >> Display & Wallpaper >> Toggle the screen rotation option off.

If the screen rotation feature is turned On, and the screen still isn’t responding when you hold the device differently then you might need to check other apps to make sure it isn’t just that app that doesn’t support screen rotation. If all apps still don’t respond then it’s most likely a software problem or hardware problem.

Conclusion

If the problem still persists then I’ll suggest you get the phone checked out if you are still within your warranty coverage and know if you can get a replacement if it is a hardware defect. On the other hand, if it is software related then, you’ll need to update your device if there is an update available.

  1. Sorry your instructions are wrong. The Note 9 doesn’t have a Wallpaper/Display option. It’s either one or the other. And it doesn’t have a screen rotation option under that setting.

The only thing I’ve found is under DISPLAY- Home Screen-then portrait mode only.

I figured it out! Scroll open the top of screen next to WIFI, BLUETOOTH, AIRPLANE MODE, ETC. There is a screen rotation button.

    Click it on!! Easy.

    Good luck TechVaz.

  3. I just noticed, – screen rotation isn’t under display. This is freaking ridicolous

Anyway, I came here, – because sometimes Note9 shows little icon of rotation in the corner of a screen, – and I was wondering, what does it do
