Huawei claims the upcoming P30 line will “rewrite photographic rules”

Expected, Huawei’s P30 and P30 pro will be released on March 26 in Paris, France.

Like previous P20 and P20 Pro smartphones, imaging capabilities will be the main customer attraction of the upcoming Huawei P30 series. And now, Huawei CEO Yu Richard has revealed some information about the P30 line on Weibo. Specifically, Huawei’s big boss confidently announced that the P30 line will “rewrite photographic rules”.

Despite showing us the front of the P30 / P30 Pro, the detailed design of the two models has yet to be revealed in the latest revealing photos. Previously leaked information suggests that the P30 and P30 Pro will have a teardrop screen design. A photo taken from the side shows that the P30 / P30 Pro will be able to lie close to the table thanks to a non-convex camera cluster.

The Huawei P30 Pro is expected to have a potential lens with 10x hybrid zoom capability. Huawei’s global vice president of marketing also claimed that the P30 Pro will bring a revolutionary, unprecedented camera experience. It is unclear whether the P30 has a potential lens system.

Currently, Huawei P20 Pro, Mate 20 Pro, and Samsung Galaxy S10 + are at the top of DXOMark’s best photography smartphone list with the same score of 109. Most likely when Huawei’s P30 line launches, the above smartphones will be deposed.

Recently leaked information suggests that the Huawei P30 will have a 6.1-inch flat OLED screen, 3 rear cameras, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The P30 Pro is expected to have a 6.5-inch curved OLED display, 4 rear cameras, and no headphone jack. Other features of these 2 smartphones include fingerprint sensors under the screen, Kirin 980 chip, 8GB of RAM, up to 512GB ROM and running Android 9 with an EMUI interface.
