Huawei Enjoy 8e Youth has been launched in China by the tech giant. Then Enjoy 8e Youth is an addition to the Enjoy 8 series, the device will be joining the Enjoy 8, Enjoy 8 Plus and Enjoy 8e. The Youth version focuses more on the Youth and comes with low-end specs.
Speaking of low-end specs, there’s a MediaTek chip with Quad-Core processor on board. However, there’s a bigger 32GB storage space for the youths and 2GB of RAM. It runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo lets find out more.
Design
Plastic meets Metal here, the Enjoy 8e Youth comes with a Plastic back and a Metal frame. There’s no rear fingerprint scanner in sight, as the company went for the more reliable Face ID. The back is also as smooth at the curved edges.
The rear camera and LED flash can be seen at the top left corner in a vertical position, giving the device a sleek look. While the Huawei logo takes centre stage. It measures 8.3mm in thickness and weighs 142g overall, you can get it in Gold, Blue and Black colors as well.
Display
The 8e Youth comes with the Full View display the Enjoy 8 series are known for. The narrow bezels are not totally invisible like on its siblings but it’s quite minimal. The bottom bezel houses another the Huawei logo, while the top comes with the usual features.
The 5.45-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen displays like a budget smartphone it is. It boasts of 1440 x 720 pixels in resolution and 295 pixel per inch density. The screen dishes out an 18:9 aspect ratio, stretches up to 74% screen-to-body ratio with a 2.5D curved glass and GFF Full Lamination Technology.
Hardware and Software
The brain powering the device is the MediaTek MT6739 chip with Quad-Core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The 4-Cores of processor here clocks at 1.5GHz with 28nm process technology. While the PowerVR GE8100 graphics processor clocks at 570MHz.
There’s a 2GB RAM space available here for all your multitasking needs, it has a memory speed of 667MHz. While for storage, there’s a bigger 32GB space available and you can upgrade up to 256GB using a memory card. The Huawei Enjoy 8e Youth runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Emotion UI 8.1.
Camera
The 13MP rear shooter has f/2.2 aperture and captures photographs of 4160 x 3120 pixels in dimension. There’s a LED flash and other features as well, record videos of 1080 and 720 pixels @30fps. The 5MP selfie camera has f/2.2 aperture, comes with a LED flash and supports Face ID.
Battery
Powering the Huawei Enjoy 8e Youth is a 3020mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with no fast charging technology. Without the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 2.2 hours.
