Huawei today launched two budget, mid-range smartphones under a brand new Nova series. The devices both adopts the names Huawei Nova and Nova Plus and the duo packs almost similar specs, save for a few differences. Of the two though, the Huawei Nova is smaller in size and can be regarded as more beautiful than the Nova Plus.

The Huawei Nova features a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixel and it is powered by an octa-core 2GHz Snapdragon 625 chipset, complemented by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage on-board which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD.
There’s also a cool 12MP rear facing camera with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture, and on the front there is an 8MP secondary camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfie snapshots. The Huawei Nova boots Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based Emotion UI 4.1 (EMUI 4.1) which not only give users a colorful interface but also brings along several tweaking features on the smartphone.
The sleek Nova packs a 3,030mAh battery under its hood which is touted to offer up to two days power supply even on heavy usage. Other features include dual-SIM support, a fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C data transfer and charging port, Cat 6 LTE radio, and more.

The Huawei Nova carries an affordable price tag of €399 in Europe, about 2972 Yuan in China, $445 in the US, about N140,000 in Nigeria, and Ksh. 45,000. Not all that cheap afterall.
