IFA 2024, Huawei Mate 20 Lite is official – double camera both back and front

The Chinese giant Huawei presented the Mate 20 Lite smartphone and a new smart speaker with an Internet router, nicknamed “AI Cube” at IFA 2018 in Berlin. The Berlin fair has also been the showcase for the launch of the Kirin 980 processor, the latest chip made by the Shenzhen house.

The successor of Huawei Mate 10 Lite, presented last year, Mate 20 Lite includes features like the latest HiSilicon Kirin 710 processor, a 19.5 – 9 display including “notch,” two cameras both front and rear and some features that refer to the ‘artificial intelligence. At the IFA 2018 event, Huawei also presented Huawei Locator, a compact GPS tracker with long operating and standby times.

The price of Huawei Mate 20 Lite was set at 379 GBP (about 421 euros) in Carphone Warehouse and Vodafone stores in the United States starting September 5. The color options provided for this device are Black, Platinum Red, and Sapphire Blue. The features supported by AI on Mate 20 Lite include AI Shopping Assistant, AI noise cancellation, AI smart gallery and more.

Huawei Mate 20 Lite works with Android 8.1 Oreo as an operating system and features a 6.3-inch full-HD + (1080 × 2340 pixels) TFT LCD screen with a 19.5 – 9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by a Kirin 710 octa-core processor, combined with a Mali-G51 GPU, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of integrated memory. Storage space is expandable via microSD card (up to 512 GB).

As for the photo compartment, Huawei Mate 20 Lite is equipped with a vertically arranged double rear camera, with a primary 20-megapixel sensor and a secondary 2-megapixel sensor, combined with f / 1.8 aperture and PDAF support. Also on the front, we find a dual camera with a 24-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary lens, associated with f / 2.0 aperture and fixed focus. The device is equipped with a 3.750 mAh battery with support for charging capacity 9V / 2A (18W).

Huawei Mate 20 Lite connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi dual-band 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2 LE, GPS / A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C and 3.5mm headphone jack. The sensors on the phone include the accelerometer, the ambient light sensor, the electronic compass, the gyroscope, the fingerprint sensor and the proximity sensor.
