Earlier this week, Infinix Mobility hosted an event in Dubai where it launched the successor to its 2016 flagship smartphones, the Zero 4 and Zero 4 Pro smartphones. The Infinix Zero 5 becomes the brand’s first smartphone to sport a dual rear camera setup. Succeeding the Infinix Zero 4 comes with big expectations; does the Infinix Zero 5 deliver?

Display
The Zero 5 sports a 5.98-inch FHD display on its 2.5D curved screen offering a display resolution of 1080 by 1920 pixels. There are bezels around the 5.98-inch screen which is duly protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Under direct sunlight, the screen remains visible, and its image production is sharp and enhanced thanks to its 403ppi pixel density.
Design
A premium eye-catching metal design is framed around the Infinix Zero 5, and the device is available in Champagne Gold, Sandstone Black and Bourdeaux Red colours. At the top of the rear sits a horizontal strip that houses its dual cameras and flash, and a fingerprint scanner sits farther below it.
The smartphone weighs 197g, and at that figure, it won’t be pretty comfortable sitting in your pocket. The right panel has its power button and volume keys, and the bottom panel houses the speaker grill, USB Type-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack.
Under the hood, an Octa-core Helio P25 processor powers all the numerous functions of the device with Mali-T880 GPU taking charge of graphical operations. The chipset runs on a massive 6GB of RAM, ensuring a lag-free, hassle-free experience for Users. The Zero 5 carries 64GB of internal storage which is expandable using a microSD.
Camera
The smartphone debuts a dual rear camera setup that comprises a 12MP wide-angle lens camera with a 13MP telephoto lens and Dual LED Flash for quality images in low-light conditions. The rear cameras cater for all your photographic needs with features such as; 2x optical zoom, portrait mode and pre-installed beauty modes. The other end sports a 16MP Autofocus selfie camera with LED Flash and an included bokeh effect.
Battery & Connectivity
The Zero 5 is backed by a massive 4350mAh built-in powerhouse with xCharge 18W fast charging support. Connectivity options include; Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS+ A-GPS, USB Type-C, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, 4G VoLTE, dedicated MicroSD slot.
Software
The smartphone runs on Infinix’s custom XOS 3.0 out of the box based on Android’s Nougat 7.0 Operating System.

Availability and Price of Infinix Zero 5 in India & China
The Infinix Zero 5 will be available exclusively on Flipkart starting 12 noon, November 22nd at Rs. 17,999. It’s expected to cost around N135,000 when it becomes available in Nigeria.
