Infinix Zero 5 VS Tecno Camon X – Specs Comparison

Infinix Zero 5 VS Tecno Camon X – Specs Comparison. Tecno Mobile and Infinix Mobility are one of the two leading phone manufacturing company in Nigeria and Africa as a continent. Going against the Infinix Zero 5 will be Tecno latest smartphone, the Camon X. The Camon X brags about being the best mid-range smartphone with good camera quality. But just how good is it compared to Infinix first dual-camera smartphone “Infinix Zero 5”. Let’s take a comparison look at it.

Infinix Zero 5 VS Tecno Camon X – The Design

Infinix Zero 5 VS Tecno Camon X

Infinix Zero 5 VS Tecno Camon X

The Infinix Zero 5 is more taller and wider than the Camon X. With the Camon X slightly slimmer at 7.8mm thickness compared to Infinix Zero 5 7.95mm thickness. Both device are made of metallic crafted body, with the fingerprint sensor placed at the back. The Infinix Zero 5 is way too heavy for my liking. It weighs 197 grams. Which is far from Camon X that weighs 148 grams. It seems there are people who prefer heavy smartphones.

Tecno Camon X is sold in Champagne Gold, Midnight Black and City Blues body colors. While Infinix Zero 5 comes in Champagne Gold, Bordeaux Red and Sandstone Black colors. None of the device are certified water/dust resistance. The dual rear camera of Infinix Zero 5 is at the top-left corner. Which is the same as that of Camon X.

Infinix Zero 5 VS Tecno Camon X – The Display

The Infinix Zero 5 comes in a 5.98 inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. With 1080 x 1920 pixels in resolution and 368 ppi density. The Camon X also comes with an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a 6.0 inch screen size. With a rather poor 720 x 1440 pixel in resolution and 275 ppi density. Both phone have the Corning gorilla glass 3 on the screen, for protection from scratches. Camon X is bezel-less with a 18:9 aspect ratio display. While the Infinix Zero 5 isn’t bezel-less, with base bar seen clearly at the top and bottom of the screen.

Infinix Zero 5 VS Tecno Camon X – The Camera

Both devices selling point is their camera. Infinix Zero 5 looks ready for image capturing with a dual 12MP and 13MP rear camera with LED flash. With features such as the 10x digital zoom and 2x digital zoom, be sure the Zero 5 will be you an impressive shot. The Camon X is also not left behind. With a 16MP rear camera with quad-ring flash, equipped with dual ISP image processor.

For selfies and snaps, the Camon X comes with a 20MP front camera with dual flash. While the Infinix Zero 5 sports a robust 16MP front camera with LED flash. Seems like a tie in this category but i would still take the Infinix Zero 5 camera quality over the Camon X.

Infinix Zero 5 VS Tecno Camon X – Hardware and Software

Under the curtain of the Infinix Zero 5 is MediaTek Helio P25 chipset with Octa-core 2.6GHz processor. While on the Camon X is MediaTek Helio P23 chipset with Octa-core 2.0GHz processor. The Infinix Zero 5 will handle big task with better efficiency compared to the Camon X. The Camon X runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with HiOS V3.3 while Infinix Zero 5 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with XOS V3.0.

Infinix Zero 5 impress with a staggering 6GB RAM while the Camon X came up short with just 3GB RAM. While the Camon X comes with only a 16GB ROM. The Infinix Zero 5 has two ROM variants, 64GB and 128GB which are expandable to 2TB (TeraByte) through a microSD card slot.

Infinix Zero 5 VS Tecno Camon X – The Battery

Infinix Zero 5 comes with better battery capacity, with a 4,350mAh Li-Ion non-removable battery. While the Camon X comes with a 3,750mAh non-removable Li-lon battery. Both smartphone can last up to 22 hours on normal usage.

Infinix Zero 5 VS Tecno Camon X – The Price

The Infinix Zero 5 is sold for about $304 (N106,500) while Tecno Camon X sells for around $165 (N58,000). My value smartphone here will be Infinix Zero 5. Despite its rather expensive price, it offers so much more than the Camon X. Better battery capacity, RAM & ROM, Hardware and Display. If your sole purpose of buying a smartphone is for selfies and pictures, then you can go for the cheaper Camon X.
