According to the information published by both BGR and 9to5Mac, citing sources familiar with the marketing plans of Apple, the Cupertino company, the next 6.5-inch iPhone that Apple will present next Tuesday could be called “iPhone XS Max”.
iPhone XS Max, the largest iPhone to date
Apparently, Apple has had trouble deciding the new naming scheme with which to designate the new line of iPhone devices that will be presented at the event next Wednesday, September 12.
Last week, marketing images corresponding to both the new Apple Watch and the new iPhone with 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch OLED screens were filtered. This information suggested that Apple would keep the same name for these two terminals, “iPhone XS”, which would be differentiated as the iPad Pro, by the size of its screen. But now it seems that the larger model could continue to offer a unique name.
Apple does not intend to use the denomination “Plus” present from the iPhone 6 Plus, but it would be replaced by “Max”. They say from MacRumors that “iPhone XS Plus” is hard to say, but “iPhone X Max” is easier to pronounce, “ although I doubt that this is the only real one or at least the main reason. Regarding the 6.1-inch iPhone, the name is still unknown.
Meanwhile, the German site Macerkopf is already talking about a price line for Europe. In this regard, the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone could cost 799 euros, the 5.8-inch iPhone XS could cost 909 euros, and the iPhone XS Max could cost 1149 euros.
Luckily, you will not have to wait long for all the details to be revealed. It will be next Wednesday, September 12 from the Steve Jobs Theater located at the Apple Park in Cupertino (California) at 19:00.
