The Just5 Freedom C100 is now officially available on Shopping stores. The company released the budget smartphone alongside the Cosmo L808 and Cosmo L707 smartphones.
Unlike the Cosmo series, the Freedom series are much more affordable with low specs for those on a tight budget. Would you like to know more about the Just5 Freedom C100? Stay with me.
Design
Most budget smartphones don’t look this good to be honest, this might as well be one of the cheapest smartphone with a fingerprint scanner. The symmetrical aesthetics at the back is pretty solid, the rear camera is at the top middle. Underneath the rear camera is a LED flash before the fingerprint sensor follows in that direction.
The Just5 logo is at the middle, as they always claim their territory. At the bottom right corner is a rear loudspeaker for loud music. Furthermore, it’s quite bulky by the sides, measuring 8.7mm slim and weighing just 141g. The volume keys and power button are also present, while the device is available in Black, Red, Blue and Gold colors.
Display
There’s nothing bezel-less about the screen, but that’s understandable going with the price. It sports three navigation buttons at the bottom bezel. While the top bezel houses the selfie camera, ambient light sensor, LED flash and speaker grille.
So Just5 managed to get up to 67.4% screen to body ratio as the device dishes out 16:9 aspect ratio. The 5-inch HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen boasts of 1280 x 720 pixels in resolution. The details on the portable screen should be clear and sharp, it has 294 pixel per inch density.
Hardware and Software
Under the hood is the MediaTek MT6737 chip with 64-bit CPU architecture and Quad-core processor. The 4-cores of processor reaches 1.3 GHz clock speed, and boasts of 28nm process technology. Conducting graphics is the ARM Mali-T720 MP1 graphics processor which clocks at 550MHz.
Enjoy light multitasking with the 1GB RAM space available, the RAM space reaches a memory speed of 640MHz. There’s 8GB storage space ready to accommodate all your files, you can upgrade up to 32GB if you want. The Freedom C100 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
Camera
The 8MP rear camera comes with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash capturing just 3K resolution images. With the Just5 Freedom C100, you can take photographs with 3266 x 2449 pixels in dimension. The camera has quality features like Autofocus, Continuous shooting, Digital Zoom, Exposure compensation, Face detection etc. Record videos of 720 pixels at 30 frames per second and take cute photos with the 2MP selfie camera.
Battery
Powering the Just5 Freedom C100 is a 2000mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery with no fast charging technology. Even without the fast charging feature, it shouldn’t take more than 1.8 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.
