Lava Z90 with Dual Rear Camera – Review, Full Specs and Price

Lava Z90 – Review

The Indian based smartphone manufacturing company tried the trending dual rear camera feature on the Z90. This is the first smartphone from Lava with the trending dual rear camera feature. It looks like the company will try the bezel-less display on their next smartphone hopefully.

They might seem slow at adapting with the current trends but they focus on midrange smartphones. The Z90 is affordable as well and perfect for those on a budget. The phone is beautiful on the outside, and pretty powerful on the inside as well. Without further ado, lets see what the Lava Z90 has to offer.

Design

Lava Z90

Definitely the best looking Lava smartphone i’ve ever seen, an affordable beauty with a sleek design. The dual rear camera definitely brought out the beauty no doubt, with the antenna line going through the duo. The dual camera were vertically placed at the top left with the LED flash beside it on the antenna line.

The slim smartphone measures 8.1mm in thickness and weighs just 159g, making it comfortable to hold. Lava Z90 is dual micro sim compatible and available in Blue and Gold Colors. It sports a rear fingerprint scanner as well for quick phone access in 0.1s.

Display

Lava isn’t ready to go bezel-less and we have to respect that i guess. There are so much bezels on the Z90 with three physical navigation buttons at the bottom bezel. While the front camera and other sensors are at the top, denying the 5.2-inch screen a FullView display.

The IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen boasts of a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels with 16:9 aspect ratio. The screen is on the average with 282 pixel per inch density offering nice visuals. Protecting the screen from dusts and scratches is a Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Hardware and Software

Powering the Z90 is the Mediatek MT6737 chipset with 4 cores of processor clocking at 1.3GHz. While the processing unit in charge of graphics is the Mali-T720MP2. It comes with 3GB of RAM space for all your multitasking which is impressive.

For storage, it comes with 32GB internal storage space for storing files, games, apps and movies. You can also upgrade up to 64GB by inserting a memory card in the Sim 2 slot. Lava Z90 runs smoothly on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out of the box with modified user interface.

Camera

The dual rear 8MP + 2MP shooters are pretty basic with f/2.0 aperture lens. Both cameras will work together to deliver standard photographs with the help of the LED Flash. For selfies, there’s an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture lens as well. You can take bright selfies in nightclubs and low light environment thanks to the front flash.

Battery

Lava Z90 is powered by a 2750mAh Non-removable Li-Ion battery with no fast charging feature. When fully charged, it should last for more than a day with light usage. Ideally getting a powerbank wouldn’t be that bad.
