Leaked videos may give clues about the upcoming Google Pixelbook

The likely successor to the Pixelbook may have come across two leaked videos that were found by About Chromebooks. The posts are brief but show a portable computer with a screen that works at 16:10 and protection in place of the gadget’s name, just above the keyboard.

The Pixelbook is a Google notebook that has high-end computer features such as Intel Core i7 processor, up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of SSD in an aluminum body and nothing cheap. All this running Chrome OS, which gives you plenty of hardware for literally everything the OS can offer for many years to come.

As it has been on the market since October last year, it is natural to speculate about its successor, and two leaked videos may give some clues as to how it will be. The first video shows that the screen can change in ratio from 3- 2 to 16:10 and that the frame format uses rounded corners – the Pixelbook uses right angles in all corners.

Another change, still on the outside, is that the hinge of the screen does not appear to allow the display to rotate completely. This would make the computer work more traditionally without the possibility of turning it into a tablet. The model name is covered, just above the keyboard and maybe another change. In the Pixelbook Google placed only a “G” on the cover, behind the screen.

It is too early to say that this really is the Atlas Project, which circulates as Google’s internal code for its next Chrome OS computer. This may be a more economical Pixelbook or a model that is very different from what was released last year.
