Lenovo Z5s already available with Qualcomm Snapdragon 678 chipset

The year 2018 is expected to be complete with the announcement of yet another Android smartphone from China. Your name? Lenovo Z5s. Inside you can find the Snapdragon 678 processor from Qualcomm as well as the operating system Android Pie.

Firstly, this device has been referred to in several leaks of information over the past few weeks. Now, we know that it will be presented already on December 18th, being one of the last to be presented this year.

Recall that China is currently the largest world market for smartphones and the “home” of countless Android manufacturers. However, this market has been in recession since the end of 2017. However, this does not mean that we often have new mobile devices on the market.

Lenovo Z5s to be unveiled on December 18

The next will effectively be the Lenovo Z5s that will join the recent Lenovo Z5 as well as the Z5 Pro. In short, we will have a total of three mobile devices to compose the Z5 range for this Chinese manufacturer. Something that has already been confirmed by the vice president of the Lenovo group, Mr. Chang Cheng on the previous occasion. In the meantime, we are now getting to know some of your most important technical specifications. More specifically, we have the confirmation of the processor model used as well as the version of the operating system.

This confirms the use of the Android Pie operating system and the referred SoC.

Above we can see two juxtaposed images with important information about this Android smartphone. The same were shared by the Chinese manufacturer itself, noting the presence of the Android operating system Pie 9.0 in the first image.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 678 could be the “heart” of this Android smartphone

In the second (left), we have the indication of the chipset, CPU, SoC or simply the chosen processor. Therefore we will have here Snapdragon 678 of the American Qualcomm, an “engine” not yet presented.

In fact, this processor model has not yet been officially presented by Qualcomm. Having said that, unless this happens in the next few days, we can effectively face a new fallacy from Lenovo.

Still, the rumors actually suggest the existence of this Snapdragon 678 as being a new mid-range solution. In this sense, we also expect improvements in artificial intelligence and photography to reach this processor.

In short, the Snapdragon 678 can arrive very soon, affirming itself as a slight improvement over the current Snapdragon 675. However, it will not be as powerful as the current Snapdragon 710, the first in the 700 range.

In this sense, we have seen Lenovo promote the Lenovo Z5s using several images and phrases with the letter “S”. Here is a clear allusion to the English word speed – “Speed” as well as the word “Shoot”, in the sense of capturing a photograph.

What are the likely features of Lenovo Z5s?

Therefore, we point out our prospects for a clear bet on these two areas with the new Android smartphone. In parallel, we also know that the terminal will already bring the Android operating system Pie 9.0, the latest version of this platform from Google.

Although there are still some unknowns, it is believed that the Lenovo Z5s brings a 6.3-inch diagonal IPS LCD screen. Secondly, this screen should have Full-HD + resolution, therefore with 2240 x 1080 pixels and a 19- 9 aspect ratio.

Thirdly and similarly to the new Samsung Galaxy A8s, also this Lenovo Z5s will bring a screen with a front hole for the camera. In short, another Android terminal to adhere to the latest trend in the mobile market.

We also believe that the device has a total of three cameras on its rear with the following configuration- 13MP + 5MP + 2MP. Already on the front, it is likely to bring an 8MP camera for all selfies and video calls.

On a final note, it is also expected to bring a 3210mAh capacity battery as well as Qualcomm’s fast charging. That is, the Quick Charge 3.0 18W technology. There is also a fingerprint reader built into the display.
