The LG K31S is a new budget smartphone added to the K series from the South Korean company. The phone parades a decent and modern body design and it has great cameras setup as well. There are some dandy features on the device that you will love to have such as enough inbuilt storage and good battery.
Design And Display
Just as mentioned above, the LG K31S packs a modern body design that features a smooth panel and a waterdrop notch. The panel is built with plastic housing the cameras and an LED flash. There is also a fingerprint scanner as well for security and it ships in good color shades.
The waterdrop notch on the phone has a screen size of 6.5 inches under IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, a 19:9 ratio, and 269 PPI density. It has an 82.1% screen-to-body ratio, while the 2.5D curved glass is shielded by corning gorilla glass.

On the camera aspect, it has a combo setup that consists of 13 MP wide and 5 MP for depth sensor. The camera has Continuous shooting, Digital zoom, Geotagging, Panorama, HDR, Touch focus, Face detection, White balance settings, and ISO settings. The camera can record 1080p@30fps videos and it has an LED flash for photos. The front camera is 8 MP with Face ID, AI Beauty and it supports 1080p@30fps video quality.
On the hardware, the LG K31S is equipped with a Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22 chipset that has an octa-core processor clocking at a speed of 4×2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 and 4×1.5 GHz Cortex-A53. It has PowerVR GE8320 for graphics related issues and runs on an Android 10 operating system.
Storage Capacity And Sensors
The inbuilt storage on the device is 32GB storage and it has 3GB RAM which will ensure a smooth performance. You can further expand the storage using a micro SDcard up to 128GB. The sensors on the K31S includes Fingerprint (rear-mounted), accelerometer, proximity, and compass.
Battery Power And Network Connectivity
The LG K31S has a battery capacity of 4000 mAh without fast charging technology. The battery will power the device for a whole day when fully charged. It has dual SIMs and 4G LTE network for fast internet connectivity. Other features on the device include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, GPS, FM radio and 2.0, Type-C 1.0 reversible connector.

Can we expect this non-Chinese smartphone to launch in Nigeria any time soon? It will be great. Also, the Mediatek helio P22 is a decent processor but it would be great to see an LG phone with the helio G chipset
