LG Q9 Specs Review, Price, Always On Display, 4G Android, Performance

LG has finally announced the new LG Q9 in this month of February 2019 but the phone is slated to arrive by July 2019. The LG Q9 is a superb smartphone, a high-end phone at that. It is replete with good features such as good body designs and nice colors, two cameras, one at the rear and one at the front.

Apart from that, the phone comes in a large Always-On Display and also has a very resolution at the same display. Also, users will love the fact that the phone has the ability to host a lot of heavy files and is surely bringing with the look of a game phone.

Design and Display

LG Q9 phone arrives in a glass and metal body and frame design. Dimensions are 153.2 x 71.9 x 7.9 mm and the weight is 159 grams. It comes in black, blue, and red color. Additionally, it has waterproof protection, and has fingerprint sensor mounted on the rear and has face recognition technology in the phone.

Also, it is a 6.1 inches screen of IPS LCD capacitive multi-touch screen, which comes without a secondary display but comes with display protection. Further, it sports 3120 x 1440 pixels of screen resolution. Furthermore, there are 16 million colors, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 2.5D curved display and pixel density is 563 PPI.

Camera Features

There is single primary rear camera setup of 16 MP that comes with dual LED flash. Additionally, at the front the selfie camera is dual 8 MP, which comes with LED flash. However, the video performances in the device are 2160p and 1080p.

Camera features in the phone are as follows- Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, QLens, panorama, auto focus, self-timer, scene mode, HDR, and others.

Hardware & Software

Taking things further, LG Q9 also sports Android OS v8.1 Oreo as the operating system. It comes with the LG UX user interface. There is hope that this will upgrade to the latest Android soon. The good thing is that it comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset which comes with process technology 14nm, 64-bit architecture. Moreover, the CPU is 2 x 2.35 GHz Kryo Quad-core, and the GPU is Adreno 512.

Storage Capacity and Sensors

Furthermore, LG Q9 is entitled to 4GB of RAM which is not able to expand no matter what. At the internal storage level, it has 64GB space. It can be increased to 512GB with a micro-SD card. There are seven sensors in the phone and they are accelerometer, proximity, fingerprint, compass, gyro, hall, and light.

Network and Connectivity

The LG Q9 is supported by GSM, HSPA and 4G LTE. So it has 2G, 3G and 4G available for internet connectivity and other uses. This makes the device a 4G compliant mobile device that has dual nano SIM card slot.

Expectedly, network support of LG Q9 are Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi, mobile hotspot, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, NFC, infrared, headphone jack and micro USB 2.0. Evidently, there is no HDMI in the device.

Battery Life of LG Q9

The battery of the phone is a good one at a Li-Po 3000 mAh non-removable that has no wireless charging and has fast charging technology. Talk time and standby time are not specified herein.
