The LG X2 has been launched in South Korea as an entry-level smartphone for those on a budget. The device comes with entry-level features and specs, it’s the latest smartphone to join the X series from LG.
The X2 was announced alongside the X5 in the East Asian country, however, the X2 is now available on shopping stores. It boasts of 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and a small 5-inch screen. Without further ado, lets meet the LG X2.
Design
The budget-friendly has a Plastic feel at the rear and looks like the typical LG smartphone on a budget. The rear camera starts a vertical train at the top middle with the LED flash following underneath, before the fingerprint scanner.
There’s a 3.5mm jack at the top and a USB charging port underneath as usual. It’s quite bulky to the sides, measuring 8.2mm in thickness. However, it’s very lightweight, weighing just 152g overall. It was launched in Black, other colors might be rolled out as well.
Display
The front isn’t as inviting as modern day full screen smartphones, the X2 comes with a small screen and a lot of bezels. There are lots of bezels at the front including the narrow bezels as well.
Nonetheless, the 5-inch HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen should display clear enough. It has a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and 282 pixel per inch density for sharp visuals. There’s a 2.5D Glass on top as well.
Hardware and Software
It’s powered by the Snapdragon 425 from Qualcomm, which was built on an older 28nm process technology. The chip comes with 4-cores of processor, which clocks at 1.3GHz. While the Adreno 308 graphics card supports OpenGL ES 3.0.
It comes with a standard 2GB of RAM for multitasking, this has a memory speed of 667MHz for smooth multitasking. In the storage department, it’s 16GB strong and you can expand up to 128GB using a memory card. It runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat out of the box.
Camera
The X2 features a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, there’s a LED flash underneath the camera and others in-built features as well. While the selfie camera is a 5MP shooter with f/2.2 aperture as well.
Battery
Powering the LG X2 is a 2500mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery with no fast charging technology. Without the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% might take up to 2.2 hours.
