Asus Zenfone Max Pro (M1) has been launched in India as a midrange beauty. This is coming just days after the Zenfone 5 is now available globally on shopping stores after being introduced at the 2018 MWC 2018.

The Zenfone Max Pro (M1) is the updated version of the Zenfone Max (M1) that was introduced during the MWC as well. The Pro version comes in different variants in terms of RAM and storage to fit every pocket. Lets meet the Asus Zenfone Max Pro (M1).

Design

Asus Zenfone Max Pro (M1)

There’s been an improvement in terms of design, it’s Aluminium Alloy body now has dual antenna lines that brings out the beauty. The iPhone X-like dual rear camera is still pretty much visible at the top left corner with the LED flash underneath.

The fingerprint scanner is also visible at it’s usual position offering quick access to the smartphone. Because of its massive battery capacity, it measures 8.5mm in thickness and weighs 180g overall. It’s only available in two legendary colors, Deepsea Black and Titanium Grey.

Again the Pro version didn’t adopt the notch on the Zenfone 5 flagships and went with the older bezel-less display. It dishes out a full view display no doubt, with its 18:9 aspect ratio screen. The narrow bezels are very tiny, with super minimal top and bottom bezel.

The massive 5.99-inch FHD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen on this baby is perfect for large screen lovers. See all your details and more in a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels and 402 pixel per inch density. However, the screen could only reach 77% screen to body ratio.

Hardware and Software

Working underneath is Snapdragon 636 chip from Qualcomm with Octa-core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The 8-cores of processor reaches a clock speed of 1.8GHz with 14nm process technology. In the graphics department, the Adreno 509 graphics processor handles everything graphics.

There are three version in terms of RAM, the 4GB and 6GB RAM variants has a storage space of 64GB to accommodate all your files and apps. While the cheaper variant for those on a budget has 3GB RAM and 32GB storage space. The Asus Zenfone Max Pro (M1) runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system.

Camera

The prowess of the camera depends on the RAM versions, the 3GB and 4GB RAM variants has 13MP + 5MP rear shooter with f/2.2 aperture, phase detection, autofocus and LED flash. While the 6GB RAM model has 16MP + 5MP with phase detection, autofocus and LED flash.

The cameras on all versions has Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama and the rest. There’s an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash, while the 6GB model has 16MP selfie camera with LED flash.

Battery

Powering the Asus Zenfone Max Pro (M1) is a 5000mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, it shouldn’t take up to 2 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.
