MAZE is a newcomer in the Chinese smartphone scene that is looking to go global and make a name for itself. The OEM released its first device, the Maze Alpha about 5 months. The Maze Alpha which had a bezel-less 6.0 inches AMOLED display and an amazing 83% screen-to-body ratio, 4 GB of RAM and 4,000 mAh battery was pretty stunning. DESIGN AND DISPLAY
The MAZE Comet comes in the form of a rectangular shaped block in a metal body which is neatly covered in a roughly textured faux leather material that ensures a firm grip of the device when held. Although the leather may make the palms become sweaty when held for longer periods but it surely improves the device’s aesthetic.
An In-Plane Switching (IPS) LCD Full HD capacitive touchscreen with a size of 5.7 inches is on-board to control and navigate around the device. The display is a 3D curved screen and also does well in the aspect of visuals as it comes with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and pixel density capped at 424 ppi. To protect the screen from dust, breaking or shattering easily, MAZE utilized Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 on the MAZE Comet smartphone.
PROCESSOR, OS AND STORAGE
The bezel-less beauty uses a MediaTek Helio P25 SoC together with an Octa-Core processor that runs up to a 2.5 GHz clock speed.
The MAZE Comet comes with a huge 4 GB of RAM. This (the RAM), together with the multitasking-suited Android v7.0 Nougat operating system of the device will lift the usage experience of the MAZE Comet to the best level possible.
To keep your files and other multimedia, there is a built-in 64 GB storage capacity which can be expanded to the tune of 256 GB using the SIM 2 card slot.

CAMERA AND BATTERY
The optics of the MAZE Comet smartphone are amazing. MAZE used a 13 Megapixels IMX 258 sensor manufactured by SONY on the Comet phone. The primary camera comes with features like Panorama, Scene mode, Self-timer, Touch focus and White balance to improve the quality of images as they are being taken, and after. Below the primary camera are two dual-tone LED flash light for lightening and brightening up the subjects to be captured during image capture.
The secondary camera on the front is an 8 Megapixels IMX 219 sensor also manufactured by SONY. The front selfie camera also used the same wide F2.2 aperture as the rear’s. As interesting as the front camera quality is, it lacks an LED light or a soft flash to lighten up selfies.
The MAZE Comet uses a 4,00p mAh Lithium Ion battery to stay up and running. The device comes with the Fast Charge technology and is charged through the USB Type-C port at the bottom.
PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
The MAZE Comet smartphone has been unveiled and gone up for sale sometime in October 2017. The device launched with a $191 price tag. Based on location and store of purchase, price could vary.
