Microsoft PowerToys – Version 0.17 is here

Microsoft has released the new version of its PowerToys for Windows via GitHub. In the meantime, we have reached Release 0.17 and with this update Microsoft mainly ensures that you no longer have to update the tools manually.

Version 0.17 has an auto-updater in its belly, which will do the installation work for you in the future. They also worked on FancyZone. The tool gives you the opportunity to define your own window layouts to make the desktop clearer. Even non-admins will be able to use PowerToys again, which was probably no longer possible with version 0.16. Finally, the PowerToys icon is now always shown in the start menu.

You can download the new version from the associated GitHub page.
