Microsoft introduced a second-generation Surface HUB with a 50.5-inch 4K + multi-touch screen based on Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Whiteboard, Office 365, Windows 10 and intelligent cloud.

This new Surface HUB 2 further enhances the big and big tablet that many companies have enjoyed in their conference rooms, despite the high costs.

In reality, the product is not just a simple improvement but represents a real evolution, as it has been redesigned from scratch to be more and more usable by business customers. Surface HUB 2 was designed from the ground up to be used by teams – to make people stand out of their chairs, to connect and design, regardless of location. The new Surface HUB 2 is more elegant, more agile and more convenient to adapt to any workspace or work style.

What do we specifically talk about? This Surface HUB 2 features a 50.5-inch touch display in 4K + resolution and 3 – 2 aspect ratio. The display can be rotated according to the needs and the company spaces. It is a product that allows you to better appreciate all software and platforms such as Whiteboard or Office 365. Still, Microsoft allows you to merge up to four HUB 2 to create a single and large screen. Dynamic rotation allows you to take advantage of the best content orientation and Microsoft has also partnered with Steelcase to create a rotating media and support system to help make Surface HUB 2 mobile.

Furthermore, Surface HUB 2 features integrated 4K cameras that rotate with the device, integrated loudspeakers, and wide-range microphones arrays.

Surface HUB 2 then adds multi-user access. Using multi-user access, multiple people can log in to the same workspace and simultaneously access documents and ideas, merging them with the ideas of their teammates and making collaboration as natural as meeting a whiteboard.

Microsoft claims to have sold over 5,000 first-generation Surface HUBs on 24 markets and believes the Surface HUB 2 will be even bigger. Microsoft will begin testing the device with selected commercial customers this year and will make it available for purchase in 2024.
