Microsoft working on four new Xbox consoles for 2024/2024?

According to some rumors recently appeared on the web, Microsoft is currently working on the creation of four new Xbox consoles, with expected arrival for 2019/2020.

Microsoft’s plans for the four Xbox consoles

The rumors regarding Microsoft’s plans for the construction of four new Xbox series consoles are Brad Sams of Thurrot, the source of many of the recent rumors about the company’s work.

According to Sams, each of the four platforms would have its own name in code- one example is Scarlett, which does not refer to a specific console, but to all new generation Xbox projects.

A part of the class indicated by the first code name would be two platforms, one called Anaconda and similar to the current Xbox One X, the other known as Lockhart and conceived as an equivalent of the cheaper Xbox One S. Both consoles should be launched in 2024.

Not belonging to the Scarlett line, on the other hand, it seems to be Maverick, a platform with a launch planned before the previous two – more precisely in the spring of 2019 – and intended for reading only.

Last but not least, it would be another version of the Xbox One S, perfect to reduce costs and focus mainly on xCloud streaming, with possible arrival scheduled for 2019.

Details about the possible GameCore project

Other rumors reported previously by Brad Sams would cover another project currently under development at Microsoft.

The latter would be GameCore, a new development platform designed to make the creation of games for Xbox consoles much easier and faster.

Currently, unfortunately, the company has neither denied nor confirmed the rumors, so you just have to wait anxiously for the official announcements!

Were you hoping for the arrival of new consoles, each destined for a certain type of public?
