Moment Introduces New 58mm Telephoto Lens for Smartphone Cameras

Moment is creating new telephoto lens for smartphone cameras. While this is the second time the company is doing this, the new creation is called the company is doing this as a second generation tele lens.

As reported by the company, this refreshed telephoto lens goes for $99. Above that, it is designed to take better photos on the iPhone XS, XR, and Pixel 3 smartphones. In addition to that, a buyer can also attach the 58mm zoom lens to any Samsung Galaxy, iPhone, or Google Pixel phone in order to get these excellent up-close effects.

Moment is reputed to have some of the best products when it comes to solving photo challenges in smartphone cameras. This new 58mm telephoto release is a follow up to the first tele-lens they released earlier.

The significance of the new lens is that users can snap sharper, brighter images with 2x (or double) zoom which is 100mm zoom lens equivalent, and 4x zoom mode which equals 200mm zoom lens equivalent. All these can be achieved inside the Moment camera app despite the shorter 58mm focal length compared to 60mm on the original tele lens. In addition to that, there has been a $10 price increase over the previously made gen lens.

The effectiveness of this product includes a few things such as the compact size and lightweight associated with telephoto lens. It weighs only 73.1 grams. This makes it light on the smartphone to which it is attached. Smartphone users are already bogged with the weight f their smartphone, so adding and weight through external means can be burdensome for user.

In both single and dual lens models, you can get 2x to x4 crop-in zoom. They come with performance similar to an optical lens like those seen on a DSLR or mirrorless camera.

Moment is trying hard to understand Google and Apple photography needs. The Moment 58mm lens are tailored to feature optimization for iPhones and the Pixel 3 portrait modes for an improved bokeh effect and added sharpness.

Users are claiming that the new telephoto lens will do just fine, especially on iPhone XS and it will prove to be just nice for all settings.
