The Nubia brand is most popular for its line up of Red Magic gaming phones but the brand also has a lineup of unique wearables. Last year, the brand unveiled Nubia Alpha. The device became the first commercially wearable phone in the world with a flexible screen. Now, the brand has started to share teasers of a new wearable device known as the Nubia Watch.
Nubia recently listed the Nubia Watch on JD (Jingdong) and revealed the launch date to be July 28. The company has now gone on to share the first official teaser of the Nubia Watch on the Chinese microblogging site, Weibo, and has revealed it will be launched alongside the Nubia Red Magic 5S.
From the image posted, we can only get a glimpse of the design of the wearable but we can confirm that the watch will feature a flexible OLED screen and 316L stainless steel + aluminum frame. The image doesn’t reveal very much else except that the watch has a crown on the right side and for some reason, it features a measurement scale.
We also do not know what software the smartwatch will come with. The Nubia Alpha which was launched last year came with a custom OS based on Android out of the box. There is a chance we might see something similar on the Nubia Watch as well.
For now, we expect to see more teasers revealing more features in the coming days before it becomes official next week.
