Just when we thought the amazing Nokia 8 flagship smartphone was the last device we would be getting from HMD Mobile controlled company, the smartphone brand pops up with yet another amazing device, the Nokia 7. The Nokia 7 has been announced by HMD Mobile and it will serve as a successor to other recent devices from the brand like the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6.
DESIGN AND DISPLAY
The Nokia 7 comes with a glass covering both on the front and back (for wireless charging support) and an aluminum frame around the sides and edges. The device overall dimension measures 141.2 x 71.5 x 7.9 mm and is accompanied by a IP54 certification which makes the device waterproof and dustproof.
A 5.2 inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is in charge of visuals output on the Nokia 7. The screen comes with a display resolution tagged at 1080 x 1920 pixels and a 424 ppi pixel density.
PROCESSOR, OS AND STORAGE
Nokia used a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset on this device and likewise, it runs on an Octa core Cortex-A53 processor with a speed of 2.2 GHz. However, quite disappointing is the fact that Nokia 7 comes with the Android v7.1.1 Nougat operating and not the Android Oreo OS though HMD have promised an OTA update to Android Oreo.
Per storage, the Nokia 7 comes in two versions. While there’s a 4 GB RAM version, there’s also a Nokia 7 with 6 GB of RAM but both variants come with a built-in storage capacity of 64 GB. Run of our space? Worry not, the SIM 2 slot doubles as the external memory card slot for expansion up to 256 GB using a micro SD card.

CAMERA AND BATTERY
As seen on past Android smartphones from Nokia, the Nokia 7 comes with a Carl Zeiss lens with a 16 megapixels sensor quality. The device’s primary camera comes with dual LED flash light support and they are all in close proximity to the fingerprint sensor.
The Nokia 7 is kept up, running and functioning by a Lithium Ion battery of 3,000 mAh capacity. The battery is non-removable which gives no room for swapping or owning spare chargers but the device comes with the Quick charge technology and support for wireless charging.
PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
The Nokia 7 has been officially announced but isn’t up for sale yet. The device has an October 24, 2017 release date and will cost about $420 or Rs. 20,999
