The latest offering from Nubia, the Z18s got its leak through a video and we were able to see a very innovative display of the device. It goes one step further. The Nubia Z18S has double screens, which we think is not just double protection, but no rear side to the device at all.
To top things up, TENAA has confirmed the incoming of Nubia Z18S.
Design and Display of Nubia Z18S
Welcome the big screens! It is incredible to see that the new device has a screen size of 6.26 inches TFT to the front. At the rear, there’s also an OLED 5.1-inch touch screen found below the camera setup. This is what you call a game changer. Let’s see how other smartphone makers warm up to this technology. The screens are infused into a single platform as the front and back.
There’s 2280 x 1080 pixels of 19:9 aspect ratio to the main 6.26-inch display. The display is IPS 2.5D curved glass. The secondary display of 5.1-inch has a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels, 16:9 aspect ratio, an OLED touchscreen display.
Nubia Z18S comes only in black color for now. Probably, other colors may follow later. Also, the talks about a fingerprint scanner at the rear could not be confirmed in the leaked video. So, we leave that till further information is revealed.
Camera Features
The camera setup found on the Nubia Z18S is a strong 24 MP plus 16 MP dual cameras to the rear. To the front, there’s no camera. Camera features include autofocus and LED flash. For video recording, you have 1080p @ 30fps.
Hardware, Software, and Storage Sense
Nubia Z18S runs on Android 8.1 Oreo which is able to upgrade to Android 9 Pie if the user wants. Internal hardware includes 64-bit Octa-core processor type. The name of the chipset is Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. Therefore, Nubia Z18S gets the highest Snapdragon specification, which guarantees super-fast performance for the device.
Graphics processor is Adreno 630. For storage, there’s 6GB RAM of 64GB internal storage capacity, while there’s another 8GB RAM of 128GB internal storage. Both come in different prices. The user could increase external storage with microSD up to 256GB.
Network and Connectivity
Wireless connectivity on Nubia Z18S passes through 2G, 3G, and 4G. Consequently, there are GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA, HSDPA, and LTE networks on Nubia Z18S. Connectivity features include Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi, mobile hotspot, GPS, and micro USB v2.0. There’s also provision for Nano SIM slot.
Battery Life
Fast battery charging capabilities in Z18S makes the battery department attractive. The battery type on the device is a non-removable Li-Po 3800 mAh. It assures considerable use without charging, at least for a day and a half.
Nubia Z18S Price and Launch Date
The leaked video of Z18S has put fans on edge for anticipating this innovative product from Nubia. There have been other good devices from the stable of Nubia in the past but this Z18S promises to be different. There are speculations that Nubia Z18S will be released in Dubai. However, both pricing and release date are unknown because the company is silent about it.
