Several photos have emerged on which the successor of the BlackBerry KEYone smartphone could be seen. The smartphone with the presumed name BlackBerry Key2 would have a matte physical keyboard.
The photo of the suspected BlackBerry Key2 first appeared on the BlackBerry fan site Crackberry. We see in the photo that the keyboard is different than on the BlackBerry Keyone. The keys on the keyboard are in fact matte instead of shiny. We also see a button with nine dots next to the sym button on the right. The space bar would again be equipped with a fingerprint scanner.
Many details about the smartphone are still missing, but at the Chinese inspection agency TENAA recently images have surfaced with the codename, BlackBerry Athena. The smartphone looks just like the BlackBerry Key2.
TCL, the manufacturer responsible for the BlackBerry smartphones has not disclosed anything about a possible successor to the BlackBerry Keyone.
