Qwant Huawei search engine, the release
Huawei, a world leader in technology, announced today that it has developed in collaboration with Qwant, the leading independent European search service, a new search engine for Huawei smartphones that offer users greater control over their data.
The partnership confirms Huawei’s commitment to protecting the privacy and security of user data and allows us to offer the best of hardware security technologies and unparalleled privacy standards guaranteed by the European search engine.
Huawei is committed to ensuring maximum privacy in all its technologies, in the same way, the search engine does not store any cookies that may reveal the identity or location of its users, in addition to fully respecting the privacy standards provided by the GDPR legislation, as it does not track or analyze in any way the personal data or behavioral characteristics of users.
The new search engine also respects content copyright, working with organizations and news providers to protect the copyright of search content.

The search engine also offers Huawei users greater flexibility with regards to privacy settings, with the possibility to choose between normal or private browsing mode, to block third-party cookies in both modes, various levels of filtering of adult content and an automatic security check of the websites visited.
In addition to setting a new standard in search engine privacy and security, Huawei and Qwant have combined the skills of their engineering teams in the 5G, AI and research sectors, using Huawei devices and 5G technology, to provide users with services personalized mobile search, including intelligent context awareness and suggestions based on different scenarios.
The smartphones of the latest HUAWEI P40 series are among the safest devices in the world, thanks to a multi-level encryption of user data, which uses the Artificial Intelligence of the Kirin 990 chipset to protect the most sensitive data.
The partnership with Qwant allows Huawei users to also benefit from a privacy-first search engine.
Already on sale on the market, the HUAWEI P40 series offers the Qwant search application pre-installed and soon Qwant will be among the search engines available on Huawei Browser.
