Realme has officially announced that the company is going to launch its Realme 5 series of smartphones on August 20, 2019. The series includes Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro. We are already aware of the fact that these phones will be equipped with a quad-camera setup. A tipster has provided some leaks revealing more details about the realme series phones.
Realme 5 & 5 Pro Expected Specs
In a blogpost published by GizmoChina, a tipster known by the name Digital Chat Station has mentioned that the Realme 5 could be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC and the Realme 5 Pro could come with Snapdragon 712 SoC chipset.
Realme 5 is expected to feature a 6.5-inch HD+ display while the Realme 5 Pro will come with a 6.5-inch FullHD+ display. It is also suggested that the Realme 5 Pro will come with an AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The Realme 5 will not have an in-display fingerprint sensor, instead, it will be equipped with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
A teaser from Flipkart has also revealed some important details about the camera of the Realme 5 series phones. Realme 5 Pro’s 48MP camera will come with f/1.8 aperture and 1.25-micron pixel size. And the wide-angle lens provided in the quad-camera setup could come with a 119-degree field of view. Leaving aside the primary and the wide-angle lens, the other two cameras will support super macro and portrait shots.

Realme 5 Series Phones Launch Date
According to Flipkart, the Realme 5 Series phones will be launched on 20th August 2019 at 12:30 PM. And the Indian giant e-commerce site also teased a short video revealing that the phones will have a quad-camera setup at the back.
