Realme X will come with next-gen optical in-display fingerprint sensor, set to be launched May 15

Realme’s flagship, the Realme X is all set to be launched on the 15th of this month in Beijing, China. There have been different rumors which have surfaced showing different features of the flagship and they have all hinted at high-end specs. Realme also revealed some features of the device.

Realme confirmed that the Realme X will feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. Even more, the fingerprint sensor will be the next-generation optical in-display fingerprint scanner. The recognition area of the fingerprint sensor has also gone up by 44%.

Before this was revealed, the company had confirmed that the Real me X will feature a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 camera with f/1.7 aperture. The phone also comes with Nightscape mode for shooting in low-light conditions.

Realme shared a new poster in a which it displayed almost all the details of the rear camera setup of the Realme X. In the image, you can see the zooming capabilities of the 48 MP camera on the rear of the phone. Prior to this, Realme had confirmed that the phone would come with an AMOLED display panel and a notchless design.

According to a recent TENAA leak, the Realme X comes with a 6.5-inch AMOLED notch-less display and a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. Under the hood of the phone is a 2.2 GHz octa-core processor and 4GB of RAM. The phone comes with a 64 GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot.

The phone also comes with Android 9 Pie with Realme’s ColorOS 6.0 UI. It also packs a 3,680Ah battery and it supports VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology.

At the launch event which is scheduled for 15th May, Realme will be launching the Realme X Youth Edition aka Realme X Lite along with the Realme X. The Youth edition is a re-branded version of the Realme 3 Pro launched last month in India.
