Samsung Galaxy A6 is receiving at this time a beta update of Android Pie that brings with it the latest One UI.
The new beta update arrives a few days after the Galaxy A7 (2018) received Android Pie through a similar beta version. The Galaxy A6 is getting the Android Pie beta update in South Korea, but it is likely that Samsung will soon be distributing it in all other markets. As many will remember, Galaxy A6 debuted in May 2018 with Android 8.0 Oreo as an operating system.
As reported by the always informed SamMobile portal, the Android Pie beta update for Samsung Galaxy A6 replaces Samsung Experience UX with a single user interface. The alleged screen shows that the update introduces Samsung Knox 3.3. However, it is not clear if the new version of the software also carries the Android security patches for February 2019.
Unlike stable updates that automatically reach the various devices, users must sign up for the beta program through the Samsung Members app to get updates. Once the registration is successful, updates will reach the eligible Samsung devices as an over-the-air (OTA) package.
Meanwhile, there is much talk of the Galaxy Fold or the folding smartphone presented by the giant of Seoul during the event of last February 20, which saw the officialization of the highly anticipated Galaxy S10 series.
In an interview released in recent days, Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei, has expressed rather negative opinions on the Galaxy Fold. “I think it’s not good at all,” said Yu, who later confirmed that in one of Huawei’s initial projects there was something very similar, “but the company made it out”.
“In my view, the presence of a front screen and a back screen make the phone too heavy,” Yu said at the Business Insider.
