The smartphone that has four cameras to its rear is here. Yes, today Samsung Galaxy A9s berths! It arrives with smarter performance and specs that can even make iPhones step aside. It is heartwarming to welcome the device that has been the subject of so many leaks and rumors. Now, we can finally hold it in our hands.

What we see is a promise made and kept by Samsung. When one looks at the specifications here on Samsung Galaxy A9s, it is easy to see how much work the team put into building this powerful mid-range smartphone.

Design and Display of Samsung Galaxy A9s

Samsung Galaxy A9s display type is Super AMOLED screen which comes with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. The screen size is 6.3 inches diagonally. As such, the user can have the pleasure of experiencing a great view when watching movies, music videos, or playing games.

It comes in Caviar Black, Lemonade Blue and Bubblegum Pink colors.

Camera Features

Here is the biggest plus for Samsung Galaxy A9s. It is equipped with quad-camera setup on the rear side. The main camera at the rear is 24 MP RGB sensor. More than that, it comes with 10 MP telephoto camera which provides double zoom function for snapping superb images.

Still, there’s another 8 MP 120-degree ultra wide angle lens. This is meant to provide my background scenes in prospective shots. The fourth lens is 5 MP depth sensing aperture. This is responsible for taking images with bokeh effect and also offering nice features such as Live Focus.

In effect, you got telephoto and wide-angle cameras on one side. However, the front is housing a single 24 MP selfie camera.

Here is where the power comes from. The Samsung Galaxy A9s is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE chipset coupled with processor type 64-bit Octa core 2.2 GHz Kryo 260. For graphics, there is Adreno 512.

For software sakes, there is Android 8.0 Oreo update. However, users may not have to wait long before they get heads up to upgrade their phones’ firmware to Android 9 Pie. That’s for customers who really want to upgrade.

There are two variants for Storage. The base model comes in 6GB of RAM and 128GB ROM. There’s the other 8GB of RAM and 128GB ROM as well. The microSD card can help increase space up to 512GB with a dedicated card slot.

Battery Life in Samsung Galaxy A9s

Things go nice in this department as well because there is 3800 mAh battery provided to offer backup where there’s no opportunity to charge the device. This battery is said to be running Samsung’s very own custom User Interface (UI). This battery uses Type-C USB port for custom charging. There’s also quick charging and wireless charging technology for A9s.

Network and Connectivity

Sure enough, Samsung Galaxy A9s is capable of operating on 2G, 3G, and 4G, making it a versatile handset. You can combine that with Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi, hotspot, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO, microUSB v3.1 and other network and connectivity commons.

Price and Availability

Officially, a statement was made that the Galaxy A9s will be available in November 2018 in only selected markets. The price of the device hasn’t been given yet but we know it won’t come cheap.
