Samsung Galaxy J6 and the Galaxy J8 are two latest affordable smartphones that were launched this year. The phone comes with bigger screen size, and they pack an impressive camera and processor. In this article, we will be looking at their specs comparisons and other features.

On the body, there’s no doubt about it that the phones lookalike. The back that is designed with plastic houses the camera and the fingerprint scanner in the same spot. The little different is the combo camera on the J8. The J8 has body dimensions of 159.2 x 75.7 x 8.2 mm with 191 gram in weight while the Galaxy J6 has 149.3 x 70.2 x 8.2 mm dimensions with 154 gram in weight. Both phones come with a slot for Dual Nano SIM, and they are available in the same Black, Gold, and Blue colors.

On the screen size, both phones come with an advanced bezel-less display with super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen. The J8 has a bigger screen size of 6.0 inches with 720 x 1480 pixels and 274 pixels per inch density. While the Galaxy J6 has a 5.6 inches with 720 x 1480 pixels and 294 pixels per inch density. It’s also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.

On the camera aspect, the Galaxy J8 is winning with a triple camera configuration. The smartphone packs a dual rear camera of 16 Megapixels + 5 Megapixels with f/1.9 Aperture and other features. While the Galaxy J6 has a single camera of 13 Megapixels with f/1.9 and LED flash.

Both sensors will record and shoot high video quality. For selfie, the Galaxy J8 has 16 Megapixels with F1.9 Aperture and LED Flash While the Galaxy J6 has 8 Megapixels f/1.9 with LED Flash as well.

On the Hardware, the Galaxy J8 is shipped with a Qualcomm SDM450 Snapdragon 450 and 4GB of RAM with the octa-core processor clocking at 1.6 GHz speed. Meanwhile, the Galaxy J6 is powered by Samsung own Exynos 7870 Octa processor with a clocking speed of 1.6 GHz and 4GB or 3GB of RAM. It has Mali-T830 MP1 graphics card while the Galaxy J8 has Adreno 506 graphics card.

The operating system on both phones is Android 8.1 Oreo with a battery capacity of 3500mAh on the Galaxy J8 while the Galaxy J6 has 3000mAh battery capacity.

The Samsung Galaxy J6 is selling at a price of $206, while the Galaxy J8 cost around $302. Their overall rating performance is 7.6% on the J6 and 8.2% on the J8.

So if you are looking for a more advanced phone from Samsung with a budget price tag, the Galaxy J8 is your best bet while the Galaxy J6, on the other hand, is also a great phone with modern day design. You will be getting a solid performance from the J6 though but will not perform better than the late.
