South Korean Tech giant Samsung has again released another device, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) into the market. The device was unveiled in China and will soon be available in China. Here’s a quick look at the features of the Galaxy tab A.

Design & Display
The device sports a 10.1-inch Touchscreen display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixel. The technology used in the display is Samsung’s own PLS (Plane to Line Switching), a variation of the popular IPS panels. Also, the device measures 155.3 x 254.2 x 8.2mm and weighs 525g. Furthermore, The bottom side of the tablet features two stereo speakers.
Processor, Memory & Camera
The devices is powered by an octa-core 1.6Hz Exynos 7870 processor with 8 Cortex-A53 cores. The device also comes with 2GB of RAM and an internal storage space of 16GB . The on-board memory is expandable and can be notched further to a maximum of 200GB. It will likely take the 256GB microSD card Samsung just outed though.
On the Camera aspect you get a 2MP f/2.2 front facing selfie camera and an appreciable 8MP f/1.9 rear shooter. Not bad for a 10-inch tablet I’d say because who’d want to use a 10-incher as a camera?
Still on the camera, both front and rear shooter can capture 1080p video.
Battery & Connectivity
The device which weighs an hefty 525g packs a mighty 7,300mAh non-removable battery.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A will be available in two versions, a WiFi only version and another having both WiFi and cellular connectivity. The Cellular connectivity (LTE) model supports download speeds of up to 300 Mbps.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) Price in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana
In Germany, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) will be available from next month. The Wi-Fi only edition of the tablet costs 289 euros ($329) and its LTE variant costs 349 euros ($397).
As of now, Samsung has not released information on as to when it will be making the tablet available in the U.S, Nigeria or any other country.
