Still firing on all cylinders, Samsung has released yet another mid-range device which it hopes to sell to the South Korean market. The Samsung Galaxy Wide as it is called, and the device bears semblance with last year’s Samsung Galaxy On7.
The Samsung Galaxy Wide, which is already listed on Samsung’s official websites, packs a 5.5-inch HD display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and is powered by the 1.2 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor with Adreno 306 GPU. The processor is backed up by a 2GB RAM as well as 8GB of internal storage. Now, in this era of a data revolution that is an hilarious offer, but then the internal memory is expandable with a microSD card up to 128GB.
The mid-range device runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OS out-of-the-box and comes with Dual SIM support.
The Galaxy Wide’s camera unit features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.1 aperture, 1080p video recording and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. In the power unit, the Galaxy Wide packs a 3000mAh battery which Samsung claims can deliver up to 12 hours of video playback time, up to 78 hours of audio playback and up to 21 hours of talk time on 3G WCDMA network.
On the connectivity options, the Samsung Galaxy Wide offers 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ GLONASS. Also, the device measures 151.8 x 77.5 x 8.2mm and weighs 171 grams.
