Sharp Aquos D10 – Price, Availability, Performance & Full Specs

Sharp Aquos D10 has been announced as a smartphone that will be launched on October 2018. It was introduced in Berlin at IFA 2018 event and is meant to be the B10 and C10, which are also products from the same company. It comes with a notch.

Not that this device is not able to turn heads but it signifies the importance of having the Sharp smartphone brand back on the block. Also, the announcement of Sharp Aquos D10 signifies Sharp’s attention to Europe at this time. Let’s check the full specifications below.

Design and Display of Sharp Aquos D10

This smartphone comes in 5.99-inch FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touch screen display. The resolution is 1080 x 2160 pixels, of 18:9 ratio and also 403 ppi density. It is made of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The screen is able to handle 16 million colors. Surprisingly, this device has 84.2 percent screen to body ratio.

Design and appearance for the device is good as it is built with aluminum alloy which gives the device a sleek exterior. It has the fingerprint scanner stationed in the middle. At the top left corner, there you find the cameras.  Sharp Aquos D10 measures 8mm in thickness and weighs 165 grams. Also it comes in only one color.

Camera Setup

Camera setup for Sharp Aquos D10 is 12 MP of f/1.8 aperture, together with 13 MP shooter, which means the rear cameras are dual in setup. These have dual-LED, dual-tone flash features, and they are able to produce 2160p@30fps; 1080p@30fps videos respectively.

The selfie camera to the front is an admirable 16 MP shooters having the capacity to produce 1080p@30fps videos. No doubt, the performance for all these shooters will be up to par with what fans desire.

Hardware and Software

Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset is the driving force behind the good performance of Sharp Aquos D10. The chipset is built on an older 14nm process technology. There’s also 8-cores of processor clocking at 1.8 GHz. That works for the CPU, while the GPU department has Adreno 509 to handle the graphics card controls. This device runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.

Sharp Aquos D10 Storage

There’s 4GB of RAM space available in the device for multi-tasking, and this space can’t be stretched. Added to that is the support of 64GB internal storage. For mild users, there may not be any need to mount a microSD card. For those who feel that there is a need, there is the possibility to mount a microSD card to SIM 2 slot and increase the storage up to 256GB.

Network and Connectivity

Aquos D10 supports 2G, 3G, and 4G connectivity. The advantage of these is that where you don’t get 4G network, you can switch over to 3G or 2G. That’s a nice thing. The device also has support for Bluetooth 4.2, a 3.5 mm audio jack, USB type-C, Wi-Fi Direct, mobile hotspot, A-GPS and GLONASS.

Battery Life

Sharp Aquos D10 is powered by a non-removable Li-Ion 2900 mAh battery.  Though the battery doesn’t seem to attract any attention, it does have fast charging technology, so you can charge your device for about five minutes and make use of it for hours.

Price and Availability

Aquos D10 has been announced in the month of August but it won’t be released until sometime in the month of October. The price of Sharp Aquos D10 is starting at $460 or about 400 Euros in Europe.
