Chinese phone maker Gionee has released the Gionee S6s, a bigger version of the Gionee S6 Pro with noticeable improvement in the front facing camera. The smartphone maker boasts about this new device and tag it as “selfie with flash“, an indication that the device sports an amazing front facing camera with LED flash designed to offers amazing selfie photos and also delivers better speed and improved performance.
The Gionee S6s is an upgraded version of the Gionee S6 Pro which was launched earlier last year. The new S6s sports a 5.5-inch 2.5D curved glass display with resolution of 1920 x 1080p. The device boots Android 6.0 Marshmallow from the go, with Gionee’s Amigo 3.2 UI hovering above.
The sleek Gionee S6s is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 prcessor attached with Mali-T-720 GPU. The processor is backe with 3GB od RAM as well as 32GB of internal memory which is ex[pandable up to 128GB via microSD card.
Talking about the camera, the Gionee S6s features a cool 13MP Sony IMX258 rear facing sensor with LED flash, with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and capable of 1080p video recording. Up front, there is an 8MP selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture, 5P lens and LED flash. Cool, isn’t it?
The device also has a fingerprint sensor just underneath the rear camera and crams a generous 3,150mAh battery under its hood. Connectivity options such as 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS are all available on the S6s.

As for the expected price, the Gionee S6s which comes in Gold, Rose Gold and Silver colors, was recently introduced in Vietnam for 4,490,000 Vietnamese Dong which is about US$ 201 and Rs. 13,465 in India.
