For a long time, Sharp has always been known for its stunning LCD panels and is one of Apple’s LCD producers. However, at the IFA 2018 event, the company brought a big surprise after showing a device model number Sharp 801SH with the OLED screen. The phone today was officially announced under the name of Aquos Zero, with curved screen borders similar to some of the devices of Samsung’s recent Galaxy S line.
Overall, the Aquos Zero deserves the title of “flagship” not only because of its powerful configuration but also with its striking exterior design. In addition to becoming Sharp’s first OLED screen smartphone, the Aquos Zero is the lightest OLED flagship in the world, weighing in at only 146 grams.
To achieve this impressive figure, Japanese electronics companies have equipped the Aquos Zero with a magnesium alloy body and carbon fiber backing. The handset features a “rabbit ears” design with a fairly wide notch and a selfie camera in the center, while the speakerphone is located at the top of the handset. In addition, the company also moves the SIM card slot to the top of the top of the machine, which makes the two sides thinner and gives a more balanced feel.
The Aquos Zero is equipped with a 6.2-inch display, Full HD + (2992 x 1080 pixels), 18.7 – 9 aspect ratio, 100% DCI-P3 and HDR color gamut. On the inside, the hardware-powered hardware comes from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 high-end processor, combined with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory.
Unlike current smartphone trends, the Sharp Aquos Zero comes with a single back camera and has a resolution of 22.6MP. The camera also has an 8MP front-facing camera for self-shots and video calling. In addition, it is equipped with a fingerprint sensor on the back to help users unlock the phone easier. The phone comes with a 3130mAh battery and is expected to be pre-installed with Google’s Android 9.0 Pie when sold.
In addition, the Aquos Zero is waterproof and IP68-compliant, and features Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio, providing a great audio experience for the user.
Currently, Sharp has not announced the price of the Aquos Zero, but the phone will be sold in Japan this winter.
