Shazam and Instagram partner to bring new feature to users

Social Media app Instagram and Music application Shazam recently made an announcement regarding a partnership that will enable users to share their Shazams on their Instagram stories. For users to be able to make use of the new features that the company is bringing through the collaboration they must, however, have both applications installed on their smartphones.

The feature is however not available for all users yet as the company also spoke up in the announcement that the feature would only be available for iOS users. As of November 1st iOS users have been able to share their Shazams on their Instagram stories while their Android counterparts will have to wait a while longer before the feature would become available to them. The companies, however, did not disclose the exact date that the android users should be expecting the feature as it merely stated it would be coming “soon”

For users on the iOS to access this functionality here’s how to go about it.

Open the Shazam app and discover a song, once you discover the song you will notice that there is a new button that will allow you to share your song findings directly into your Instagram story.

The followers who view your story shared via your Shazam would be able to tap the “More On Shazam” option which would now be available and clicking it would take viewers directly to the songs page on the Shazam application.

When the feature does come to Android which we absolutely positive it would in time we are guessing that it would work in a similar vein.

Shazam which was recently bought by Apple on September 2018 currently has over 100 million downloads on the Google Play store so it would be hard to imagine that the music application would neglect that many users for so long.
